Cinderella

We attended a production of Cinderella in our school on Wednesday. We really enjoyed the modern take on this classic. We sang along with all the songs.

Healthy Eating

We had to compose a slogan for healthy eating. Well done to Alyssa Clarke for the winning slogan.
"St. Clare's is the one to beat because healthy food is all we eat."

Masks

We studied Italy. The Venice Carnival is now world famous- it always takes place during the ten days leading up to Shrove Tuesday. Carnival, being a pre-Lent festival, means "farewell to meat" and is celebrated throughout Italy. Masks have always been a central feature of the Venetian carnival.
We painted and decorated masks.

Volcanoes

We studied Italy. We learned that Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD destroying the city of Pompeii. We painted pictures of volcanoes erupting.
